The elongated shape of Portland ensures the best feel along with good leverage for higher ball speed.  To compensate longer length, we decided to cut off the static weight by 3/8 once - resulted in longer reach and compressed feel, yet easier to swing around.

Most control oriented Paddles have 16~18mm thickness.
But in today's trend, it is leading us to go for a slimmer at core.
Thick paddles kill the power, but not always necessarily give extra control.
Thicker paddles cannot give the best connection with the ball, as a general rule.
Our 14mm gives the best control by most directly connected feel, not over killing the pop and ball speed.
On the other hand, 16mm gives the control by plush - absorbing feel.
For 2024/2025, Many brands are preparing 14mm paddles, and we are leading in this concept, and offering two thickness choice for Portland.
